UM Terminals is a leading provider of bulk liquid storage solutions, operating multiple terminals across the UK for sectors including food, chemicals, agriculture, and energy. We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our small, dedicated maintenance team based out of our Liverpool headquarters.

Location: Based in Liverpool (Regent Road office), with travel across all UK sites.

Main Responsibilities:

• Carry out reactive maintenance to address breakdowns and faults promptly across terminal equipment, including storage tanks, pipelines, pumps, valves, and associated infrastructure.

• Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules to ensure optimal performance and compliance with health & safety standards.

• Support maintenance activities at all UK terminal sites (including Liverpool, Hull, and Portbury), involving regular travel and occasional overnight stays.

• Work collaboratively within a small team to diagnose mechanical issues, conduct repairs, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

• Adhere to strict safety protocols in a hazardous environment handling bulk liquids.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter, ideally in an industrial, terminal, or process environment (e.g., tanks, piping, pumps).

• Relevant qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or apprenticeship).

• Willingness to travel nationwide as required.

• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance.
